Prisoner

This photo was taken in an old place abandoned by people. When I look at it now I recall the rhymes I wrote in December, 2008.

Prisoner of Nightmares

For ages I’ve been sealed in this kingdom,
Within the walls of silence and the time.
My strict, attentive guards were Fear and Tears –
They tried to minimize my future crime.

I hoped to break the grids of stunning terrors,
That kept me all alone in whirlpool of disdain.
But as I strived to get out of that prison,
I realized: outside, in real, was the same pain.

And now I’m free, but I don’t want this freedom,
For I am prisoner entirely in my soul.
From now – no one can crash my chains of nightmares,
So I’m feeling that I’m cold and foul…
